Q - What is ASP?
A - ASP is an acronym for Application Service Provider.  In short, we own and maintain the expensive servers and software, and you only pay a small monthly fee to access the service.

Q - How do I access to Doctors OnLine Billing?
A - In order to connect to the DOLB servers, you must have an Internet connection.  We recommend a high speed connection, either DSL or cable.

Q - What hardware do I need?
A - You will need a computer running windows 2000 Professional or above.  You will also need a printer (HP LaserJet preferred) and an internet connection.  MAC's are not supported.

Q - Is my information safe?
A - Communication with DOLB servers is via an encrypted secure connection.   

Q - What about backups?
A - Backups are done nightly three ways.  We use offsite backups via the internet, tape, and the data is also copied to redundant servers.  Backups to CD are also available upon request for a small additional fee.

Q - What are the hours of operation?
A - DOLB servers are available 24x7.  However, while backups are done between 1AM and 3 AM Pacific standard time system response may be slower than normal.

Q - Is DOLB HIPAA compliant?
A - DOLB is currently compliant with all healthcare and HIPAA requirements.  We will continue to maintain compliance as new requirements become available.

Q - Can I send my insurance claims electronically?
A - Yes.  Claims may be printed to paper on your printer, or sent electronically to many clearing houses via the internet.  We have secured substantial discounts for our clients through ET&T clearing house. 

Q - How much does DOLB cost?
A - Pricing is simple. after one time setup fees, it's only $59.00 per month per computer.  (see pricing page for details.)

Q - Is training and support available?
A - Training DVD's ($300.00), classes and support are available for an additional fee.  Here are the contents of each DVD.

Volume 1: Introduction, Practice Setup, Patients and Guarantors, Data Lists
Volume 2: Billing and Diagnosis Codes, Transaction Entry, Batch Payments
Volume 3: Insurance Billing, Patient Billing, Running Reports, Appointments
Volume 4: Practice Management, Daily Activities, Weekly Activities, Monthly Activities, Yearly Activities, Backups
Volume 5: EMR, Custom Reports
